In accordance with Google Chrome Web Store policies, TutoMart Pricing has a single, narrow purpose: to serve as a smart shopping companion for product price tracking and savings. We collect and process only the minimum amount of data required to deliver these functionalities.

We only collect data strictly essential for the extension's core features:

A. Authentication & Account Information

Data Collected: Email address, user identifier, and session tokens.
Purpose: To authenticate your TutoMart account, maintain your logged-in session, and synchronize your saved price alerts across devices.

B. E-Commerce Web History & Product URLs

Data Collected: The URL and domain of supported e-commerce product pages you actively browse (e.g., product page URL, product ASIN/SKU).
Purpose: To query our pricing database, fetch historical price trends (30/90-day charts), verify available promo codes, and display review summaries for that item.
Important: We do not monitor, track, or record your general browsing history, search queries, or activity on non-shopping websites.

C. Website Content & Price Information

Data Collected: Current product price, product name, category, and review text from supported shopping pages.
Purpose: To compute whether the current item is at a historical low, evaluate the "Buy or Wait" recommendation signal, and extract AI review sentiment highlights.

4. Browser Permissions & Justifications

The Chrome Extension requests specific permissions strictly required for its operation:

`storage`	Saves your local extension preferences, cached auth state, and target price alert thresholds locally on your browser.
`alarms`	Schedules background synchronization to check price alert thresholds and refresh expired coupon codes at periodic intervals.
`notifications`	Delivers browser notifications when a tracked product drops below your set price threshold or when verified coupons are found.
`activeTab`	Enables the extension to read the current shopping page URL and DOM only when you invoke the extension interface.
`tabs`	Monitors tab activation to dynamically update the extension toolbar icon (active on supported shopping stores, disabled elsewhere).
`cookies`	Reads the session cookies from TutoMart (tutomart.com) to synchronize login state between our web application and the extension.
`host_permissions`	Allows the extension content script to extract product pricing and coupon fields across supported online shopping platforms.

5. Limited Use & Non-Sale of Data Certification

TutoMart complies with Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policies:

No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or monetize user data or personal information under any circumstances.
Limited Use: We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core shopping and price-tracking functionality.
No Credit Scoring or Lending: We never use or transfer user data to evaluate creditworthiness or for financial lending purposes.
No Remote Code: The extension does not load or execute external remote JavaScript code. All code is bundled within the extension archive.

6. Data Security and Storage

All data transmitted between the Chrome extension and our backend API is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Local settings and tokens are stored securely within Chrome's sandboxed local storage (chrome.storage.local).

7. User Control, Data Retention & Deletion

You maintain full control over your data at all times:

Extension Removal: You can uninstall the TutoMart Pricing extension at any time via chrome://extensions, which immediately deletes all locally stored data.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and associated price alert records by visiting your user dashboard on the TutoMart website or by contacting support.
